University professor Ali (Ekin Koç) returns to Turkey following the death of his ailing mother. And the more he looks into her death, the more he becomes convinced that something nefarious has happened. He recruits the help of a gardener friend to exact some vengeance, but soon enough secrets emerge that cause him to question his own conclusions. The Things You Kill asks questions about how we form our identity, and the narratives we create as we attempt to become who we want to be, putting it in the form of a twisty crime thriller where no one is exactly what we think they are.
