Teacher Fernando (Manolo Solo) is left aimless and desolate after his Bulgarian wife suddenly decides to leave him and return to her home country. He decides, in his depression, to travel to the coast, where he ends up taking on the identity of a gardener at a lavish Portuguese estate. There, while pretending to be someone else, he is integrated into the life of the estate, and forms a surprising friendship with the owner of the house.
