A mysterious disease has broken out in a Chilean mining town. Nobody knows what causes it, or what can be done; all they know is that it is deadly. It is said that it is transmitted when two men simply look at each other when they have fallen in love. Young girl Lidia (Tamara Cortés) tries to discover the truth behind this myth as her family is accused of bringing this disease to the town.
