Based on the classic by Alexandre Dumas. Pierre Niney takes on the role of Edmond Dantes, a man who becomes a target of a sinister plot, and is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not commit. He escapes his island prison after fourteen years, and acquires a treasure that was found by a fellow prisoner. He reenters the world of high society under a new identity: The Count of Monte Cristo, and he intends to take revenge on those that did him wrong.

Si Pierre Niney ay tumatampok bilang Edmund Dantes, isang biktima ng mga masamang hangarin, at inaresto sa kanyang araw ng kasal para sa krimen na wala siyang kinalaman.
