Based on the novel by Maggie O’Farrell. Hamnet is a fictionalized account of the relationship between William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal) and his wife Agnes (Jessie Buckley). In 1580, the two meet and discover a love for the ages. And in 1596, a terrible fate befalls their young son Hamnet, pushing the two apart as they navigate the perilous emotional landscape of grief. And somewhere within that sadness, one of the greatest works of literature is created.
