Festival Note
Eight-year-old Sasha (Elyul Guven) is the youngest of four siblings in a family of Hungarian immigrants who have just moved into a new home on Vancouver Island in the 1990s. It is through Sasha that we experience the life of this family, with a father who has become absent as he spends all his time at work, and an eldest brother who has only grown more erratic and troubled as they try to settle into their new environs.
