First QCinema QC-SEA Shorts Competition 2023

QC-SEA Shorts Competition is the new international counterpart of its long-running QCShorts Competition, that will be the launching pad for Southeast Asia’s most promising filmmakers. Selected films will have its Philippine Premiere in QCinema 2023.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES & REQUIREMENTS

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
All are required, except when indicated. All image files must be in jpg or png format while links to video files must be valid URLs with access credentials for password-protected files. Physical media will not be accepted.

1. Completed QC-SEA Shorts 2023 online application form;
2. Synopsis of the film (100-200 words);
3. Biography of the director (Maximum 200 words);
4. Headshot of the director;
5. Poster ;
6. Screener link of the film available until December 31, 2023.

GUIDELINES:

1. The competition is open to all Southeast Asian directors of ages 18 years old and above.
2. The film must have a total running time of not more than twenty (20) minutes, including the opening and closing credits.
3. Non-English language film submissions must include English subtitles.
4. The festival accepts any form of genre: documentary, experimental, and narrative
5. Submitted films should not be available in any streaming platforms, free or paid accessible in the Philippines
6. The festival only accepts films produced from January 2022 to August 2023.
7. The organizers and the selection committee reserves the right to disqualify any participant and/or to forfeit any prize from a participant who is found to have committed plagiarism or has undertaken fraudulent practice and/or activities harmful to the Festival or the Festival submission process
8. By entering a film for consideration to QCinema International Film Festival, the participants agree to abide by the Festival guidelines and rules. The QIFF shall be indemnified of any liabilities.
9. The decision of the Selection Committee is final and irrevocable. The organizers and the selection committee are not obliged to give an explanation for the results.
