Lu (Chang Chen) works in New York City as a delivery driver, supporting his family in China with his meager income. When the e-bike he uses for work is stolen, he scrambles to get it back while trying to take of his recently arrived family. Shot in gritty 16mm, Lucky Lu is a portrait of an American migrant experience that has grown increasingly dire in an America that no longer feels like the land of the free.
