Set between 1950s and 1960s, a forty-something composer and pianist Wiktor meets a twenty–something Zula who auditioned to join a communist song and dance ensemble. Wiktor teaches Zula how to sing the sequences on the piano. As they both develop a passionate affair where a journey into the unknown starts, the characters lead their (sometimes separate) lives and their romantic passage traverses through two decades and many menacing turns.
