Singing in Graveyards
Pepe, a 68 year old impersonator of a Filipino rock legend, lives alone on the borders of reality, imagination and mysticism. One day, he’s finally given the chance to open for the rock legend’s concert but he must do something neither of them has done before - write a love song.
About the Director:
Bradley Liew is a 27 year old Malaysian born, Manila based filmmaker. In 2012, he was accepted into the Asian Film Academy of the Busan International Film Festival where he won the Lumos Award for Outstanding Performance from celebrated Chinese filmmaker Jia Zhangke. He is also an alumnus of the NAFF Fantastic Film School, Berlinale Talents and Locarno Filmmakers Academy.
His first feature film, a Malaysian-Philippine coproduction entitled Singing in Graveyards, made it’s world premiere at the Venice International Film Critics’ Week. It was the recipient of the Visions Sud Est Production Support Fund and the inaugural Southeast Asian Film Lab’s Most Promising Project Award.
